The Ticket
I wrote this for a 100 word or less competition on CNET to win a camera. It's a bit hazy, but from memory it was in conjunction with the Sony TropFest when the theme was umbrella. Needless to say it didn't win.
Guy eating restaurant meal knocks water and salt shaker over. Goes to bathroom to dry shirt. Bathroom mirror is dirty, he wipes it cracking it.
It’s raining, leaves with friend and opens an umbrella while inside.
Wind blows a piece of paper into his face. He grabs it, a lotto ticket. while walking underneath a ladder, and black cat scampering past gets friends newspaper checking the numbers, wins 7 million. There is a bang. Closing scene, newspaper front page picture of friend with winning ticket celebrating, small article about deadly freak accident with picture of guy.

OHS Danger in the workplace
Our workplace has just released a video about safety in the workplace. It features three of our staff recounting the time that they were injured in the workplace.
Before I go on I must say the content provided by the staff was awesome, very courageous and moving.
There were two terrible things though, first was the use of the "Law and Order" "dun duuun" when ever the scene changed. It's there for dramatic effect, but it was teetering towards cheap and tacky.
The second thing was people and cars going past in the background. It was a little distracting, but lead to a thought..........
What should happen is someone crossing the road in the background while a story is told, car comes hits person, dun duuun, former jay walker now in front of camera retelling his/her ordeal.
